AccoDrop acts as a Data Processor for the bookkeeping data and document files uploaded by Clients and managed by their connected Accountants (who act as Data Controllers). We process personal and financial data strictly in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Data We Collect

We collect registration details (name, email address, mobile number), professional credentials for accountants (practices, membership number), business metadata, invoice sales/purchases records, and document files (receipt scans, bank statements).

3. Purpose of Processing

Data is processed solely to operate the AccoDrop portal, execute optical character recognition (OCR) and classification on receipts, link clients to their tax agents, and deliver notification alerts.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is hosted securely in datacentres located in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area (EEA). We enforce TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest.

5. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or request erasure of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact your connected Accountant (the Data Controller) or submit a ticket to our support desk.
